CanNot open databse file error message

Postby tony01 » Mon Mar 01, 2010 9:29 am

Hi All:
I installed a fresh LATEST version of locate32 v3.0 7.7010c on Windows XP, then I open it and when I do a search I got the error message :
CanNot open databse file,

In the database setting I have:
Checked Enable
Checked Update globally
Name: default
File: C:\Documents and Settings\user1\Application Data\Locate32\files.dbs

If I go to the folder above the databse file was not created , How can
re-create files.dbs , I Uninstalled and installed locate twice and I have the same results.

I am doing something wrong or this is a BUGGGGG

Someone can help please.

Thanks a lot.

You have to choose "Update databases" from file menu, that will create indexes and database files.

Actually that version is over two years old, here is latest: http://www.locate32.net/files/daily/locate32-3.1.9.11150.zip.
